A new grassroots Presbyterian group, Presbyterians for a Just and Peaceful Future in the Middle East, has published a statement in the New York Times and other media calling upon Presbyterians to take a constructive and inclusive approach to Middle East peacemaking. We at Presbyterians for Middle East Peace welcome this new group to the Presbyterian dialogue on Middle East peacemaking, and we concur with their emphasis on engagement that respects the legitimate rights and aspirations of both Israelis and Palestinians.
